This process involves the Operator undertaking detailed consultations with the neighbouring communities as well as satisfying the council’s planning team that they can operate safely, effectively and with the minimum environmental impact.
The Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) which is an executive agency sponsored by the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC), the Environment Agency (EA), the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Minerals Planning Authority approve or regulate our operations. During the exploration phase, we will be subject to regular inspections and will need to report on our activities on a weekly basis, according to well established procedures.
